Very nice hides that take dye nicely and tool ok. The Neatsfoot jar lid was cracked, so it was a good thing that you had it in a plastic wrap. That was a mess.
Very satisfied with these hides. Strong, nice grain, flesh side is nice, and lots of usable leather on the hides. I have made falconry hoods, glasses cases, bags and purses with the leather. They take dye very nicely.

Due to it's thinness and flexibility, some of the hide was used to create Piping that could be easily made to conform to a curved surface. I 've been judicially conserving the remainder of the hide for making little baby shoes for our first grand child.
